Join us for Spring Break Camp at Rising Stars Academy!
Get Dramatic this Spring Break with Rising Stars Academy’s first Spring Break Camp. Everyday campers will get to explore a new area of Theatre, from Improv and Dance to Special Effects makeup and Stage Combat! Get creative in brand new ways!
•Monday: Improv
Learn the basics of Yes, and with a day centered around the artform of Improvisation. Campers will learn the importance of listening and reacting, contributing as a team, and agreeing.
•Tuesday: Musical Theatre
Get those jazz hands ready! Campers will learn a song and dance routine from a hit musical.
•Wednesday: Backstage
Campers will learn about backstage jobs in theatre from Run crew to stage management and beyond. Campers will also gets hands-on experience in designing sets, costumes, and props.
•Thursday: Stage Combat
Learn how actors engage in combat in a safe and effective manner. Campers will also learn and create their own unique fight choreography.
•Friday: Special Effect Makeup
Bring your ghoulish creations to life with stage makeup. Campers will learn about prosthetics, bruises and cuts, and the secrets to making characters come to life onstage with makeup.
Camps will run 9am - 3pm April 1st through the 5th at First Love Community Fellowship in Dry Ridge. Spring Break Camp is open to ages 10-18. Early Bird Registration is $50 if you sign up by February 10th, where it will raise to $60.
